Wandering from Forum to Plaça Catalunya

Although Barcelona is quite a compact city, in that you can satisfy your needs within a block or two of anywhere, it’s also pretty big and spread out over a large area (about 39 sq/miles). This makes it a city for the wanderer and the inquisitive, providing new sights and surprises around every corner. You will also find that the major attractions are also well spaced out around the city. There is so much to see and take in that sometimes it’s difficult to remember to watch where you’re walking… Thankfully, the locals locals are extremely dutiful about cleaning up after their dogs… but this won’t stop you walking into a tree occasionally ;)

Maybe take a wander:

From Forum to Plaça Catalunya (6 kms approx.) – taking in: Forum, Diagonal Mar, the beaches up to Port Olympic: Nova Mar Bella, Mar Bella, Bogatell, Nova Icària, the Olympic village and harbour, Hotel Arts, Big Fish (Frank Garry installation for the 92 Olympics), the dinner clubs/night clubs, Barceloneta beaches, parc Barceloneta, Hotel Vela, funicular, Passeig de Joan de Borbó, Palau de Mar, Port Vell (has a market most weekends), Maremagnum, Columbus monument, La Rambla, Plaça Catalunya, then a well-deserved rest in your perfect rentBCN apartment.
